What it is not

ScanWow does not sign, fill in, or edit contracts, and it is not legal advice. It makes a clear, complete copy of a paper document that has already been signed, so you can share it and find it again.

Scan a signed contract in four steps

Count the pages first, then lay the contract flat in even light.
Scan each page in order into one document. On the signature page, check that every signature, initial, and stamp is fully in frame.
Check the page count matches the paper, and flip through the text view to spot any page that came back blank or blurry. Delete and rescan it if so.
Name it with the date, the type, and the other party, then share the PDF with everyone who signed.

Privacy and where your contracts go

ScanWow reads text on your device by default, and your scans are never stored on our servers. A page is only sent for AI cleanup when you tap Magic Enhance on it (Anthropic Claude, with Google Gemini as a backup). To keep every contract on your device, turn off Magic Cloud in Settings and leave iCloud Backup and Secure API Export off. Details are on the Privacy Policy.

Common questions

Can ScanWow sign or edit a contract?

No. ScanWow scans and reads documents. It does not add signatures, fill in fields, or edit the text of a PDF. Sign the paper first, then scan the signed copy, or use your e-signature tool for documents that are signed online.

Does it keep every page in one PDF?

Yes. Scan page after page into one document, and it exports as a single PDF. If you notice a missing page, you can add pages to the same document later. New pages go at the end, so scan in order, and you can delete a bad page and rescan it.

Can I search my contracts later?

Yes, inside the app. ScanWow reads the text on every page, and search matches those words plus the document name, so you can find a contract by the other party, the address, or a clause. Exported PDFs are image-based today, so name files clearly to find them in Files.

Can I import a contract someone emailed me?

Yes. Open a PDF from Mail or Files and ScanWow brings in up to 20 pages and reads the text like a new scan. You can also import photos from Photos.
